The anti-illiteracy education is necessary not only for society progess, but also for individual person. The functional of adult education as the functional of social economy and politics directly affects the country development. Because of the high illiteracy-rate in rural China, it is very important to pay more close attention to the rural anti-illiteracy education in the People' s Republic of China.Based on Historical materialism and uses for reference of sociological theory and method, The discourse chooses anti-illiteracy' s organize, teaching material, form, teacherand peasant mentality as object of study. Meanwhile, combined historical docunments, archives with oral account, the discourse describes the launchment of anti-illiteracy education at the basic level in a great detail, and draws on the experience of the theory of adult learning-motive to analyze peasant' s learning mentality. In a word, dissecting rural anti-illiteracy education and analyzing the connection between anti-illiteracy education and social progess, the discourse tries to portray a clear and colorful picture of anti-illiteracy education of rural China and provides enlightments to contemporary anti-illiteracy education of rural China. The main is composed of six chapters:The first chapter discusses means and significance of the paper, related study results and organism of the paper.Chapter two aims to explain the historical orbit of rural anti-illiteracy education in the People' s Republic of China. According to its historical consquence, it can be divided five phases: sound beginning stage (1949-1957), inferior-sound development stage (1958-1965), stage at a standstill (1966-1976), rearrange development stage(1977-1992) and the dual-principles stage(1993-2005).Chapter three presents the connections between the control' s...
