1 PurposeAlong with 2008 the Beijing Olympic Games' approaching, the goal of the Chinese men's basketball team BAC ( Basketball Administrative Center ) of NSB ( National Sports Bureau ) has been proposed is to enter the world basketball 2nd group, namely obtaining the position from 4th to the 6th.However,the Chinese men's basketball team's best position at all previous years Olympic Games is eighth, there is a big gap between the ideal and the reality.According to Dr. Tian Mai - jiu's Event Group Theory, basketball belongs to the hostile event group on the same court that technique and tactics are the leading factors. Although the Chinese men' s basketball team owns Yao Ming, Wang Zhi-zhi, Batter, Yi Jian - lian and so on, who have the big superiority in the in -side court, and there is no opponent in Asia, the level of technique and tactics of the Chinese is in the low level in the world basketball chain. Therefore this research deems if the Chinese basketball team wants to realize the historic breakthrough, it must enlarge its scientific research safeguard and its breach should be placed in the technique and tactics research.Now the human society has already entered IT ( Information Technology ) times, the remarkable symbol is information increases very fast, and the way of management and the processing of the information mainly have relied on IT which includes computer, network. The application of IT in the analysis of basketball technique and tactics is an inevitable trend. However, it is found that the methods and ways of the analysis of basket -ball technique and tactics in China is a little backward, and in a way it has retarded the Chinese basketball fast development, and therefore realizing the Chinese basketball technique and tactics analysis method and the method transformation is an item essential and the urgent topic.2 MethodsThis research aims at investigating the present situation of the ways and methods of the Chinese basket-ball technique and tactics analysis, and proposing the principle of work of the application of modern IT in the basketball technique and tactics analysis.Therefore such the scientific research methods as literature, the expert interview, the observation and the software engineering law are used.3 research suppositionsIn know of the requests of basketball coaches and players, two suppositions have been proposed as follows:(1)The basketball technique and tactics analysis pattern ( BTT ) based on the modern IT is necessary also is feasible. (2)The basketball technique and tactics analysis pattern ( BTT) is suitable for the preparation before game and summary after game, and is also suitable for conduct during the game.4 AssignmentsIn order to confirm to the above work suppositions, the research must complete five tasks:(1)the design of the multimedia database system of basketball techniques and tactics(2)the application of the data mining technology in the basketball technique and tactics analysis, and the realization of visualization and quantitative of the analysis result(3)the application of the computer plane animation technology in the basketball tactic analysis, and realization the non-mask and continuous demonstration of the basketball tactics(4)the application of the non-linear edition technology in the basket ball technique and tactics analysis to enlarge the function and value of images and videos data of basketball technique and tactics(5)the practice of the basketball technique and tactics analysis pattern (BTT) in practice5 ConclusionsThe research has completed the original work task smoothly, basically confirmed the work suppositions, and the main conclusions are as follows:(1)The basket-ball technique and tactics analysis pattern based on the modern information technology is proposed, and this pattern includes a body and four swings.(2)The basketball technique and tactics multimedia database system is devised, it has the formidable data inquiry function, supports the multi-condition inquiry, and satisfies the coach and athlete's actual demand.(3)The application of data mining such as connection analysis and the visualization is proposed, and the research has yielded the preliminary result.(4)The research has realized continual and the dynamic demonstration of basketball tactics in use of invented basketball court, the basketball and the players.(5)The application of the non-linear edition technology to the basketball technique and tactics image and the video data has enlarged this data use value.(6)The basketball technique and tactics analysis pattern ( BTT ) is suitable for not only the preparation before the game and after game, but also for the summary during the game.6 Innovations(1)The research proposes initially the principles and methods of work of the application of IT in basketball technique and tactics analysis. It does not limit to the basketball only, and is suit for such other hostile events on the same court project as soccer, the rugby and so on.(2)The multi-media database of basket ball technique and tactics is devised; the connection analysis is used in basket-ball for the first time in China, and a number of connection rules are found.7 SuggestionsAs a result of the limit of time, energy, and funds, the research is not complete. At the same time, the database system needs continuous the completion with the more and the more demand of coaches and players, so it waits for further improvement.In the data mining aspect, this research only attempted to utilize the connection analysis and the visualization technology, and as for the method breadth and the depth of data- mining, it is far insufficient, so these insufficiencies will be the following research direction.
