In this thesis, the static spectropolarimetric imaging technique is studied, a designscheme of static spectropolarimetric imager is first proposed, and the key technqiesare studied. The main contents of the thesis including:The state-of-the-art of the spectropolarimetric imaging technique is summarized,the design schemes of the typical spectropolarimetric imagers (SPI) are reviewed, andthe main applications of the SPI are introduced.The the spectral modulation Stokes spectral measurement technique which hasthe snapshot character is studied deeply. The method of Fourier transform basedStokes spectral demodulation is analyzed. And the method of real time measurementand reference light measurement of the retardances of the high-order retarders arestudied. A testing apparatus is constructed, and the Stokes spectral modulation anddemodulation technique is verificated expermentally.The Stokes spectral measurement technique which combined the spectralmodulation and Fourier transform spectroscopy technique is studied, the analyticexpressions of the modulated spectrum’s interferogram are derived, and the Stokesspectrum recovery methods are analyzed, a numerical simulation of the spectralmodulation and demodulation is made. An optimal design based on the single sideinterferogram sampling and the parameters designing method of the spectralmodulation module is proposed.The spectral modulatioin transform function (SMTF) of the grating dispersivespectral imager and Sagnac based spatial modulation Fourier transform spectralimager is studied. The characters of the spectral modulation Stokes spectralmeasurement is analysized from the SMTF viewpoint, and the result shows thatFourier transform spectral imager is better for Stokes spectral measurement. A SMTFmeasurement method for dispersive spectral imager is proposed.A design scheme of static spectropolarimetric imager based on spectralmodulation module and Sagnac spatial modulation Fourier transform spectral imageris proposed, the key parameters,optical system and mechanical structure design ispresented, and the system imaging simulation is accomplished. The simulation resultsindicate that the design scheme is feasible.
