Interference imaging spectroscopy is the advanced subject among the visible/infrared remote sensing, and it has become an important means to acquire three-dimension information(two-dimension spatial and one-dimension spectral information).Imaging spectrometers, synthesized by imaging technique and spectral technique, identify and analyze objects in two aspects—space and spectrum. The high value of Spatial Modulation Imaging Fourier Transform Spectrometer(SMIFTS) is jacquinot advantage and fellgett advantage ,and it has been used widely, and the SMIFTS has become an important remote-sensor for research and application.Firstly, in this paper the basic principle of Imaging Fourier Transform Spectrometer(IFTS) is introduced, and the basic principle , configuration , performance of both time modulated and spatially modulated interference imaging spectrometer are analyzed separately. And secondly, the configuration , operation principle and key technology of triangle common-path (Sagnac) IFTS are discussed emphatically, and the key technology of spectrum reconstruction from interferogram such as interferogram data pre-processing , apodization filter and FFT is researched. Lastly, the experiment is performed with the prototype of IFTS, monochromatic and white light interferograms are obtained, and the interferograms are processed by the reconstruction emulator programmed by ourself, and the spectral images of monochromatic and white light interferogram are gained, and the wavelength of the test platform is calibrated by monochromatic spectral image. And possible existed errors are analyzed.
