Objective:Summarrizing the features and the regularity of acupoints compatibility of acupuncture treatment on primary dysmenorrheal in the ancient and modern literature; Exploring the relationship between the quantity of acupoint and the analgesic efficacy of acupuncture treatment. Exploring the compatibility relationship between several commonly used acupoints.Method:Using the computer to search the Promotion version of “Chinese Medicine Standard”on the acupuncture treatment on dysmenorrheal part.Using the manual way to consult too.Using CJFD etc. as the modern(1915.1~2013.12) literature retrieval source to seach the literature on acupuncture treatment on dysmenorrheal. On clinical study, 120 patients were randomly divided into 6 groups:group A(RN4), group B(SP6),group C(RN4, SP6), groupD(SP8), groupE(RN4, SP8) group F(RN4, SP6,SP8). Observing the change of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), Verbal rating scale(VRS)and simplified McGill Pain questionnaire along with the time of 6 groups of patients before and after acupuncture curing, and comparing the difference of 6 sets of data.Result:SP6, RN4,RN6 are the most often selected in ancient multiple points prescription.Ren Meridian is the most often choosed meridian followed by the liver meridian, kidney meridian, spleen meridian. Abdomen are the most often used bodyparts followed by the lower limbs.Five Shu Points is most often used as the specific points, followed by the confluent points. As the point number of the prescription, two points, three points and four points prescription are the most used prescription. In modern remedy,SP6,RN4, RN6 are the most often selected. Spleen meridian is the most often choosed meridian followed by the ren meridian, bladder meridian.Abdomen are the most often used bodyparts followed by the lower limbs, waist and back. The points not only confluent points and also Mu points are most often used as the specific points, followed by the confluent point. As the points number of the prescription, four points, three points and five points prescription are the most used prescription.Qi stagnation and blood stasis Type of dysmenorrhea often choice LR3,SP10,RN6,SP6;Cold and dampness staging Type often choice RN3,ST28,SP8;Qi and Blood deficiency type often choice ST36,BL20,RN4; Kidney deficiency Type often choice BL23, RN4,BL18; Damp and hot accumulation type often choice SP9,BL28,BL32.Clinical study found that: acupuncture treatment groups can reduce the degree of painin patients with dysmenorrhoea, alleviate dysmenorrhea pain symptoms. To reduce the degree of pain in patients with dysmenorrhoea, alleviate dysmenorrhea pain symptoms, B group is better than in C group and C group is better than A group.E group is better than A group. There is no significant difference between D group and E group. The F group is better than the other treatment groups. Conclusion: On the whole, the most commonly used points in ancient and modern times are SP6, RN4, RN6; Ren meridian, spleen meridian and kidney meridian are the most often choosed meridians in ancient and modern times. Abdomen are the most often used bodyparts followed by the lower limbs. The points not only confluent points and also Mu points are most often used as the specific points, followed by the confluent points and Five Shu Points. As the point number of the prescription, three points, four points prescription are the most used prescription. There are many ways of points compatibility in ancient and modern times.Clinical research: The effect of three points(RN4, SP6,SP8) may be synergistic. The synergistic effect in RN4 and SP6,RN4 and SP6 is not obvious. Proper coordination of acupoints can obviously improve the curative effect of acupuncture. There is no positive correlation between the number of the points and therapeutic effect of acupuncture.
