Taxonomic Studies On Dead Fallen Branches Dematiaceous Hyphomycetes From Parts Of Southern China

A total of 2000 specimens were collected from many representative sites in Henan,Sichuan,Chongqing,Guizhou,Guangdong,Guangxi,Yunnan and Hainan provinces.The specimens were brought back to the laboratory in the sterile plastic bags and were examined directly while it is still fresh and moist under the dissecting microscope or incubated in the moist boxes.From these collections,2 taxa are identified as new families,3 taxa are identified as new genus,15 taxa are identified as new species,2 taxa are identified as new combination,9 taxa are regard as the new records for China,34 taxa have been reported in China.Two taxa are new families.They are Acrodictyaceae J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang and Junewangiaceae J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang.Three taxa are new genus.They are Atrosynnema J.W.Xia,X.G.Zhang & Z.Li,Soliacrodictys J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang and Sympodiosynnema J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang & Z.Li.Fifteen taxa are new species.They are Acrodictys hainanensis J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Anungitea guangxiensis J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Atrosynnema digitosporum J.W.Xia,X.G.Zhang & Z.Li,Blastophragma beilschmiediae J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Codinaea jianfenglingensis J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Corynesporopsis excoccariae J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Dictyoceratosporella wuzhishanensis J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Ellisembia henanensis J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Ellisembia longchiensis J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Endophragmiella licualae J.W.Xia,X.G.Zhang & Z.Li,Endophragmiella micheliae J.W.Xia,X.G.Zhang & Z.Li,Lylea ficus J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Repetophragma elegans J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang,Sporidesmiopsis malloti J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang and Sympodiosynnema elegans J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang.Two taxa are new combination.They are Junewangia queenslandica(Matsush.)J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang and Soliacrodictys martinii(J.L.Crane & Dumont)J.W.Xia & X.G.Zhang.Nine taxa are new records for China.They are Beltraniomyces lignicola Manohar.,D.K.Agarwal & Rao,Craspedodidymum hyalosporum Bhat & W.B.Kendrick,Diplococcium dendrocalami Goh,K.D.Hyde & Umali,Ellisembiopsis brasiliensis T.S.Santa Izabel & Gusm?o,Gangliostilbe malabarica Subram.& Bhat,Lylea tetracoila(Corda)Hol.-Jech.,Menispora glauca Pers.,Teratosperma cornigerum(Ellis & Everh.)M.B.Ellis and Vamsapriya indica Gawas & Bhat.Thirty-four taxa are known to China.They are Acrodictys bambusicola M.B.Ellis,Acrodictys elaeidicola M.B.Ellis,Acrodictys globulosa(Tóth)M.B.Ellis,Acrodictys liputii L.Cai,K.Q.Zhang,Acrodictys malabarica Subram.& Bhat,Acrodictys peruamazonensis Matsush.,Acrodictys porosiseptata G.Z.Zhao,Junewangia sphaerospora W.A.Baker & Morgan-Jones,Junewangia lamma(Whitton,McKenzie & K.D.Hyde)W.A.Baker & Morgan-Jones,Bahusandhika indica(Subram.)Subram.,Beltrania rhombica Penz.,Brachysporiella pulchra(Subram.)S.Hughes,Catenularia kalakadensis Subram.& Bhat,Corynesporopsis cylindrica B.Sutton,Corynesporopsis uniseptata P.M.Kirk,Craspedodidymum fujianense L.G.Ma & X.G.Zhang,Dendryphiella vinosa(Berk.& M.A.Curtis)Reisinger,Didymobotryum rigidum(Berk.& Broome)Sacc.,Digitoramispora tambdisurlensis Pratibha,Raghuk.& Bhat,Ellisembia adscendens(Berk.)Subram.,Ellisembia leonensis(M.B.Ellis)McKenzie,Exserticlava vasiformis(Matsushima)Hughes,Guedea ovata Morgan-Jones,R.C.Sinclair & Eicker,Neosporidesmium micheliae Y.D.Zhang & X.G.Zhang,Rhexoacrodictys erecta(Ellis & Everh.)W.A.Baker & Morgan-Jones,Rhexoacrodictys fimicola(M.B.Ellis & Gunnell)W.A.Baker & Morgan-Jones,Septonema secedens Corda,Sporidesmiella hyalosperma var.hyalosperma(Corda)P.M.Kirk,Sporidesmium novozymium W.P.Wu,Sporidesmium rhaphidophorae K.Zhang & X.G.Zhang,Sporidesmium tropicale M.B.Ellis,Sporoschisma saccardoi E.W.Mason & S.Hughes,Teratosperma uniappendiculatum Matsush.and Xiuguozhangia punicae(K.Zhang & X.G.Zhang)K.Zhang & R.F.Casta?eda.All specimens examined are deposited in the Herbarium of the Department of Plant Pathology,Shandong Agricultural University(HSAUP)and Mycological Herbarium,Institute of Microbiology,Chinese Academy of Sciences(HMAS).
