Chinese scholars tend to pay attention on the special regions or remains of ethnic costume, but the research of Han nationality’s folk costume in the Central Plains is less.Clothing is a visual language of social development and cultural change, and it is the symbolic culture medium. And it is closely related to the productivity and social ideological trend in real time. Unique geographical environment and humanistic atmosphere prompted the Central Plains region has formed the costume culture heritage which is a diverse blend of ethnic minorities and Han nationality, is the important carrier of condensing the bright folk art spirit, is also under the background of today’s information globalization and integration, to keep the valuable wealth of the Chinese cultural independence. Study on Modern Chinese folk costume changes, not only can grasp the social development level and the characteristics of regional culture through the fashion phenomenon, can analysis the attributes of clothing as of culture medium, and its function to promote the reformation of social culture. It will provide experiences and references for the protection and dissemination of traditional costume culture heritage in present.This dissertation takes the neoteric Central Plains folk costumes as research object, through the physical analysis of a large number of handed down costumes, the shapes of clothing and accessories were classified, and combing the artistic features, semiotics to research the relationship between the Central Plains folk dress forms and the social environment change, as well as the clothing cultural transmission mechanism. The main research conclusions are as follows:First, the Central Plains in modern times are mainly the vast rural areas, and the folk dress along the old costume system of Ming and Qing Dynasty. The types of clothing and accessories are rich, and the styles are varied. It integrates the utility and aesthetics, and plays the role of satisfying the clothing functional deficiency and decorating the whole dress image. In order to solve the problems of the empirical spadework and time consuming when inspecting the dominant colors of Chinese traditional costumes image, based on Mean shift clustering algorithm and the image processing technology, putting forward the main color clustering analysis method of the costume images, summarizing the color tendency and color matching principle of the folk costume in the Central Plains. The decoration technology of embroidery and edging is simple and beautiful, and has the embroidery characteristics both north and south. Cotton, hemp, silk are the main raw materials of clothing. Due to the need of clothing shapes and dress occasions, material selection has the obvious differences.Second, through study folk costumes of Central Plains use in the most important old rituals like birth, marriage, funeral etiquette, combined with local chronicles, literature material and on-the-spot investigation, summed up the aesthetic standers, etiquette and custom, cultural connotation of folk costume in the Central Plains. Dress custom and faith kept relatively intact, and the style of ceremonial dress was stable, because of the influence of foreign culture since modern times, the phenomenon of combining Chinese wedding dress is obvious; Costume color, pattern, embroidery are the important carrier of the Central Plains costume culture connotation, not only embodies the unique aesthetic orientation in the region and the established norms, at the same time they are full of interpersonal and culture communication between generational ethics enlightenment significance.Third, on the basis of the research on the costume art features, combined with handed down mass media data and literature data, such as photos, newspaper, magazines, to restore modern Han nationality folk dress changes and social environment. The modern Han nationality folk costume has undergone a gradual process. Costume style, color, decorative pattern are more diverse, and the way of dress is varied. The freedom of clothing choice increased. The political, economic and cultural change are important factor affecting the Neoteric Central Plains folk costume changes, in which the political factors play a guiding role, the development of economy provides the material basis for the costume rheology, and since the modern times gradually equality and democracy cultural environment is the main impetus for costume change.Fourth, through the theory of communication and semiotics, and exploring the media attribute of clothing and the relationship between the transformation of the culture communication mode of the Central Plains Folk Clothing and the change of the clothing. The dress in the process of cultural transmission is a unity of three levels:a material entity, symbols and information elements. It also summed up the clothing as the main approach to spread culture media, communication effect and so on characteristics. The change of Neoteric culture diffusion and technology is the important factor affecting the cultural communication and change.Fifth, through the analysis of the current costume culture communication environment, discussing the transition of the relationship between communicator and audience in subject and object, and this paper puts forward the suggestions on the costume culture communication in the Central Plains. The new media technology changed the original mode cultural transmission, and gradually builds a new cultural pattern. According to the level of people contact clothing information, redraw the audience type, and pointed out that in today’s consumer society, consumer is the core of the clothing culture dissemination impetus. Finally, combined with the situation of Chinese traditional costume culture communication, this paper proposed the effective way to spread the costume culture, which take consumers as the basic core to cultivate the cultural confidence. |
