According to Tibetan medicine there are four ways to treat diseases including diet,living habit,medication,and external treatment.Medication is one of the most important and commonly used treatments,it is divided into Sedative and Diarrhea Prescriptions based on etiology,pathogenesis,severity,physical differences,environmental and other factors.The Sedative Prescription(Zhi Byed Sman)application theories recorded in Four Tibetan Medicine antidotes(Gnyen Po Stobs Bzh)and other traditional Tibetan medical books are scattered and not formed a complete system.Based on the above reasons,this article uses systematic analysis of literature data and comparison,collation and other research methods to systematically demonstrate the development of Tibetan medicine prescription,application theory,application methods and other content to lay the foundation for the formation and development of Tibetan Medicine sedative clinical application and its concepts.The main contents include:The first part elaborates the formation and development of Tibetan Medicine sedative applications in the context of Tibetan medicine history.It analyzes and studies ten kinds of medicaments covered in five prescription classifications in Four Tibetan Medicine antidotes,and lists in detail the values and characteristics of Tibetan medicine sedative prescriptions in the therapeutic field.The second part mainly argues Tibetan medicine sedative prescription application principles,and it is categorized into basic and branch principles.Among them,the first one is divided into generalization and specificity application principles.The general application principle is listed according to the principle of the three major factors and the specific diseases;the specificity application principle is for "wind disease" and special treatment of indigence and indigestion.In total four principles.The second one lists sixteen application principles based on patient’s physical differences,disease types,and environmental factors.In short,this paper specifically analyses and summarizes twenty kinds of Tibetan medicine sedative prescription application principles.The third part according to Tibetan medicine application principles mentioned above,it can classified into basic and branch application methods.Among them,the first one can be divided into prescription single-line method,double line method,and multi-line methods.From this classification put forward in total nine kinds of application methods:basic formula of add and subtract mixing method,method of prescription compatibility,preparation method etc.The second one can be divided into six application methods:drug synergistic method,reducing drug reaction method and dosage regulation method.In summary,fifteen kinds of Tibetan medicine application methods are analyzed and classified.In conclusion,the Tibetan medicine sedative prescription is one of the most important parts of Tibetan medicine clinical treatment system,accurate application of the sedative prescription dictates Tibetan medicine treatment to achieve the best results of the key factors and measures the standards.Therefore,in this paper,I was in endeavor to acquire the Application Principles and related Theory Doctrine of Tibetan Medicine Sedative Prescription in Various Types of Tibetan Medicine from Different Periods.This paper further improves the research results,and the theoretical and practical significance of guiding the clinical use of medicine are systematically discussed.However,due to my shallow knowledge,lack of clinical experience and with limited research time,the paper will inevitably have many shortcomings;I sincerely hope that you will provide critiques,suggestions and corrections.
