Environmental issues,such as global warming,depletion of the ozone layer,waste accumulation and other environmental changes,are one of the most serious problems related to human activities and lifestyles.Architecture,an indispensable part of human society,is a highly active industry for both developed and developing countries.The whole life cycle of the building covers many stages from material mining,processing,construction,use to demolition,and each stage requires a large amount of energy consumption,and generates considerable atmospheric pollution and solid waste emissions into the environment at the same time.With the development of the whole life-cycle theory,the whole life-cycle assessment in the construction sector has gradually gained popularity.However,it has certain limitations in practical applications,and the quality of the assessment data is uneven.The database has not yet covered all countries and regions in the world,reducing the accuracy of the assessment results.The existing life cycle assessment in construction industry is carried out on the analysis and the multi-scheme comparisons of completed projects,while the optimizing space is limited by the sample quantity.Therefore,how to predict the life cycle estimation and comparison of a large number of samples in the architectural design stage has important guiding significance for architectural design and building performance improvement.The structure of the thesis is divided into three parts.The first part is the related background and theoretical research,combing the whole life cycle assessment system and its application in construction sector systematically,comparing the methods and conclusions used in academic research,and discovering the problems and limitations of the evaluation method.The second part is a case study using the completed construction project(Future House)as a carrier.It demonstrates the feasible methods and processes for conducting a whole life cycle assessment under China 's national conditions,compares the research results with the existing scientific research results here and abroad,and proposes the method of optimal design by analyzing the differences and their causes.The third part is the induction of methodology,that is,according to the whole life cycle assessment theory,the study derives the calculation formulas of each stage of building life,and edits the program of calculating the whole life assessment by computer language,which provides the possibility to select the appropriate solutions and materials to reduce the environmental impacts in the architectural design stage.Based on a large number of literature studies,this research combines theoretical knowledge with the practical experience of engineering projects to conduct method experiments and theory research,and build a research framework and method of computer-aided life-cycle assessment with interdisciplinary knowledge,providing an accurate and appropriate life cycle assessment for the architectural design stage,improves the objectivity of architectural design decisions,implements the concept of sustainable building development and innovates in the following areas:1)Study on the calculation method of the whole life cycle performance of light-framed buildings in ChinaThe research decomposes the construction process of the case in detail,arranges all the components and materials needed,makes use of the international advanced database and performance simulation software,and calculates the life cycle performance data of the building which is the closest to the actual situation,based on the construction technology,power grid level and transportation in China,m are closest to the actual situation.2)Make use of C#language to write the automatic generation program:Using programming language makes it more accurately and efficiently to calculate the life cycle energy,avoids the error of manual calculation and time cost,and realizes the possibility of quickly calculating and optimizing the life cycle performance of buildings in the design stage.3)Propose a design optimization methodology for the life cycle assessment of light-framed buildings ' envelopeThe thesis analyzes each material of the building's envelope and the energy consumption ratio of different stages during the whole life cycle respectively,summarizes the influences of each layer on reducing the energy consumption,and determines the range of material selection and the best solution.4)Establish a systematic method model of buildings' life cycle assessment.It is a comprehensive life-cycle assessment method model that can be applied universally,covering all stages of construction,operation,maintenance and demolition of buildings.It can be used for both light buildings and heavy buildings.The influencing factors and application prospect of the evaluation method are analyzed.The dissertation includes about 120,000 words,83 illustrations and tables.
