A Comparative Study Of Basic Vocabulary And Interpretation Primitives In Chinese-Vietnamese Languages

This research is based on metalangguage system level theories and methods(Prof Li Baojia 2002),the Chinese and Vietnamese basic vocabulary,Chinese and Vienamese interpretations system comparative study.Compared to before in the two languages of the basic vocabulary and interpretation of language system,research objectives Vietnamese basic vocabulary and the interpretation language prmitives is also an indispensable.In this research,the author overviews Vietnamese pronunciation and vocabulary.Firstly,Extraction previous four co-occurrence word vocabulary,Vietnamese basic vocabulary "(3600);" The more-Chinese Glossary "(5500);" Vietnamese students Glossary "(3000)and" Vietnamese Common Glossary "(4500)supplemented and adjusted basis to establish a "cBasic Vienarnese Vocabulary"(1425).After then,the"Limited Common Vocabulary of Modem Chinese"(1451)are compared.In Chinese and vienamese,1073(occupy 75%),There are 352(occupy 25%)had no income " Limited Common Vocabulary of Modem Chinese" Vietnam basic vocabulary.66 of them(18.8%)is a Vietnamese cultural vocabulary.Secondly,we translated "The explanatory meta-vocabulary o Modem Chinese"(2873)to Vietnamese.By removing and Vietnamese interpretation of independent Chinese,explanatory meta-vocabulary increase necessary for Vietnamese meta-vocabulary,we find 2817 primitive words.According to co-eficiency and correlation,at last 2842 primitive words are correlated to 1425 basic Vietnamese words.Once again,the paper compares "The explanatory meta-vocabulary of Modem Chinese" and "Vietnamese taterpretation Primitive Table".The author finds 2774(occupy 97.6%)of the interpretation of primitives have the same anaphora,and 68(occupy 2.4%)of the interpretation of primitives have different anaphora.A conclusion is drawn that there exist something in common in different languages,though difefence is obvious.The theoretical value of this research,based on existing research results in Chinese contrastive case study provides basic vocabulary research can be two languages of the basic vocabulary of Vietnamese,construction of basic vocabulary and compared with Chinese basic vocabulary,can expose the commonality and differences shown in Vietnamese and Chinese basic vocabulary;also to the Vietnamese vocabulary teaching and lexicography provides reference limited vocabulary.And further analysis of the two kinds of language primitives interpetation of the similarities and differences.Comparative study on the theories and methods further enrich the research element of language.The results of the study has application value to the language teaching.language translation,dictionary compilation and cross cultural communication.
