The ecological crisis has become the biggest challenge of human civilization development in the 21 st century.People are already aware of and committed to solve this problem,but did not get effective improvement.The reason is that unreasonable consumption is the key element of ecological crisis.All human production and lives can be summarized to consumption activities,which include productive consumption and living consumption.Productive consumption mainly lies in the reproduction of material goods,which produces new products by means of using and consuming productive materials and living labor.Meanwhile,living consumption refers to the reproduction of human beings through consuming material and cultural life goods and labor services.Researches of traditional consumption ethic mainly based on living consumption aspect.However,the key element of present ecological crisis lies in moral abnormality on productive consumption link.Moral problems of direct production process emerge in endlessly,and the influence of alienated modern production mode on ecological environment,both from breadth and depth,are more destructive and devastating than living consumption process.Therefore,productive consumption is the key element of ecological environmental problems’ research.The ethical research on productive consumption mainly revolves around two dimensions.The theoretical dimension makes rational reflection on the anti-ecological nature of “the logic of capital” in productive consumption,and analyzes one-sided thinking mode of industrial civilization production leads to the unsustainable development of production.Therefore,productive consumption ethics should have the characteristics of awe nature and ecological protection,which include the principles of moderation,integrity and sustainability,and have the framework with global awareness and long term planning,which is the structure pattern of circular economy,renewable resource industry and green consumption.The value orientation of productive consumption ethic is to pursue the comprehensive unification of the economic value of synthetic benefit,the humanistic value that follows harmony,the social value of maintaining justice and stability,and the ecological value that conforms to the harmony of all things.The practical dimension analyzes the productive consumption moral subjects of enterprises,governments and individuals.It is important for enterprises,which are the most connected to manufacturing consumption,to carry out the correct value determination and benefit choice,and to create the enterprise ethical cultures in the production of profit maximization and the ecological benefit of natural environment.In the entire social production of consumer activities,the governments,how to take the mind leadership and moral precepts,how to self-locate,and how to effectively coordinate the interests of all economic activities are the key moves,as well as advocate the development of green ecological consumption ethic in the whole society.The individual,who behaves directly on the micro level,to form the correct moral understanding of itself and natural relations in practice,and to follow harmonious paths between human and nature,is the most immediate factor which leads the productive consumption activities conform to the ethics and moral precepts.Finally,trying to form cultural identity and make productive consumption activities to be ethical through establishment of moral environment,creation of ethical atmosphere and cultivation of ecological rationality,which can construct productive consumption moral norms and ethical systems both promote the production development and conform to ecological benefits.Putting the focus on productive consumption and trying to analyze and interpret the source of environmental degradation is essentially a way of taking ecological issues forward.To guide productive consumption activities from ethical view and to constrain productive consumption with moral norms are the ways to form productive consumption ethic towards ecological civilization.Only in this way can ethics works in human social productive activities.
