This dissertation examines the various ways young adults with Bipolar Disorder and symptoms of Bipolar Disorder are affected as they transition into adulthood in order to create a detailed treatment program to help them overcome the barriers and challenges. Research suggests there is a lack of resources and treatment programs for transition aged-youth with Bipolar Disorder. It is hoped that providing youth with Bipolar Disorders and those who have symptoms that fall in line with Bipolar Disorders with a transition program to support them through a challenging phase in their life will make the transition process more successful. The program, as part of this dissertation, has been designed to address the unique needs of youth with Bipolar Disorder symptoms as a means to prevent problems frequently encountered by this group of individuals as they face transitioning into adulthood.
