Research On 3d City Models' Representation With CityGML

The represention of 3D City Models and the storage of these informations is the most interested and hottest problems now,they have been quietly applied in 3D GIS, digital cities, virtual reality and many other fields. In recent years, with the urbanization process's accelerating, establishment of realistic 3D model of the city and to achieve the effective management of urban spatial database have given more and more attention.In this paper, we undertake study in the description of 3D city models'information and data management. For the bottleneck problems, such as most of the 3D city model systems are mainly used for visualization, the topology and semantic information almost be neglected, and the interoperability of data between different platforms is difficult,we researched the described methods of 3D city models using the OGC's CityGML(City Geography Markup Language) Implementation Specification, and managed methods for spatial data on Oracle database platform, proposed a technical route to manage spatial data which based on CityGML, and Simplification of CityGML's data model. At last, we chose ChongQing's Spatial Data realized managing of spatial data with CityGML on Oracle platform.
