Qing Tu Shan landslide located at Qing Tu Shan in the northwest of Wen chuan city is an old landslide. which had been destroying by rain at the early 60s of last century, caused many losses in somewhere, such as Guest House Dining Hall, Squadrons Barracks, the Public Security Bureau and Government Offices Building. After that time, it had been engaging in a slowly creep deformation. Qing Tu Shan landslide occurred a larger deformation again after rainy season in 2003, which made playground and some part of State Road 213 uplifted. At present, Qing Tu Shan landslide is strongly deformed, if the stability is destroyed, people's lives and property will be lost and the state road 213 will become paralytic, including 463 peoples and about 1,500 million yuan assets. Therefore, it is very significant to effectively and promptly prevent the occurrence of the landslide.By analyzing the geological reconnaissance data and the deformed features of the landslide, the stability of Qing Tu Shan landslide is studied by the transfer coefficient method and numerical simulation method, and then it proposed an treatment scheme. Furthermore, the stability of Qing Tu Shan landslide adding pile is analyzed by means of numerical simulation. The main works in this paper are as follows:1.Based on the analyses on the geological survey data of Qing Tu Shan landslide, the configuration and characteristics of the landslide are knew, and in turn the influence factors and formation mechanism of the landslide are discovered.2.The stability of the three sections of the landslide are analyzed by transfer coefficient method. It is shown that Qing Tu Shan landslide is mostly stable in natural and seismic state, unstable in saturated state, which is consistent with the qualitative analysis.3.Drainage system and pile project to prevent Qing Tu Shan landslide are posed by means of the qualitative and Quantitative analysis.4. Numerical simulation analysis on the stability of Qing Tu Shan landslide before and after treatment are carried out by means of FLAC software, and the results show that the maximum displacement of landslide before treatment is much more than after treatment, and that is show the treatment scheme is efficient and rational.
