This paper takes the slope of Qiupocun in Beijing Mentougou District as the investigated subject. On the basis of the analysis of the geological conditions, the author makes an intensive study of the stability of the slope combining the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Conclusions are drawn as follows:â‘ Through geological investigations and materials related, the engineering geological conditions and water conditions, the shape, the scope and the component of the slope have been made clear.â‘¡Through the analysis of the materials related, the landslide was caused by many factors such as the form ,feature and the structure of the land as well as the local weather and other conditions as well as the local weather and human activities. The cause and the mechanism of the landslide was made clear through the further.â‘¢The stability analysis was carried out in qualitative and quantitative form with transfer coefficient method and the FLAC software. Also the analysis was done in different conditions, the results are as follows: the slope will stay stable in natural state ,while in the condition of rain with earth quake ,the slope will go unstable .The research results proves that the stability analysis using FLAC software combined with transfer coefficient method is practical. And analysis results provides the theory basis for preventing and treating Qiupocun landslide. The results also has prevalent meaning of guidance in the analysis of similar landslide which is caused by collapse of mined-out.
