As shallow mineral resources are dwindling, in the 21st century deep, undiscovered mineral resources will be one of the main sources of the growing human demand for minerals. Deep mining searching has become a major direction in global mineral exploration. With the development of geological prospecting to deep, geology of deep-hole drilling technology to usher its opportunities for development. rope coring drilling technology is an advanced, versatile, effective drilling method which will play a pivotal role in deep exploration. Annular gap of Wire-line drilling technique is slim, so it has many special compared to conventional drilling. The purpose of this article is to establish a test stand on annular pressure loss in wire-line coring. Summarizing the development of annulus hydraulics on wire-line drilling technique both in China and abroad, the paper found insufficient that need to be improved. Learning from conventional drilling in annular characteristics and calculation model of pressure loss, this paper also sums models for calculation of wire-line drilling technique of annulus pressure loss. According to the basic laws of drilling fluids carrying flour, the paper analyzed the wire-line drilling annular cuttings migration mechanism, and proposed a debris transport model. We used GAMBIT to establish numerical simulation model, then the geometric structure of GAMBIT, and calculation grid in the import to the FLUENT, preliminary inquiry annulus pressure loss law in wire-line coring, lay the foundations for the design and building of a test platform. On the basis of the full research and theory, we choose optimized materials and equipment, designed a wire-line coring annulus pressure loss test stand.
