San-hu region is main natural gas zone in Qaidam basin. Experience successively several years of exploration, San-hu region has already discovered many structural gas field of Quarternary system- Neogene System. But along with progress of exploration and study, a little bit easily discover gas field has already less and less. Make use of own 2D seismic data, Identification of the low amplitude structural gas pool and Lithologic gas pool is extremely difficult. Difficulty of discover new gas field is more and more big.In order to expand results of exploration of San-hu region further, Natural gas detection Technology available for San-hu region geological condition need to explore and summarize, In order to directe favorable explorative area, directe to select exploration targets, realize new discoveries for exploring natural gas.To solve the problem mentioned above, the paper aim at study using own 2D seismic data. Starting with the research of the structural,depositional and gas reservoir characters. Based on the structural and depositional background, macroscopically predict the favorable area for structural gas pool and Lithologic gas pool exploration. In view of the favorable exploration area, make use of diversified reservoir predict technology and natural gas detection technology, including seismic attributes analysis technology,seismicinversion technology,wavelet decomposition and reconstruction technology and AVO technology. Analyze initially applicable condition,advantages and disadvantages of diversified technology.Based on the study above, evaluate and select targets, point out advantageous targets.
