Research On County Land-use Database Construction Based On GIS

Since the human society enters the later period in the 20th century, the information technology has permeated into all fields of the world at an unexampled speed. In the tide of digitalization and information in alltrades, our country's "Digital Territory" project has received considerable development as a part of national spatial data infrastructure. Under the great background, this paper clarifies the method to build the county level land-use database.Firstly, in this article, with the illumination of the relevant concepts of Digital Earth, Digital Territory and the land detailed survey, the author has analyzed and probed into the state of development and construction background of land-use database, and have pointed out the construction of big scale database is urgent. In view of the above, the writer has drawn the purpose and meaning of construction of 1:1000 scale land-use database in Nanhai City, Secondly, the feasibility to the database and the user's requirement have been analyzed detailed, the structure of the database and the scheme of divided layers have been designed carefully with taking ArcGIS as the platform. And, the author starts with the overall design of database, the preparation of data and technology, the environment of software and hardware, the extra ventricular investigation and indoor disposal of the data to describe the course of the database construction especially, at the same time, has expounded the management mode of the production, safety problem and application of the database. Finally, on the basis of these, this thesis has summarized out the technological innovation and main experience in this research, puts forward some suggestions to the construction of big scale county level land-use database.Combined with the tentative national land classifying standard and the reality of Nanhai, this research completes the construction of 1:1000scale land-use database in Nanhai, brings enormous economic benefits for Nanhai City, is favorable to the land information-based management in Nanhai, establishes some foundation for realizing "Digital Nanhai", helps to popularize implementation and application of "the national land classifying system" too, therefore, offers some reference and guidance function to the big scale land-use database for the other counties( the cities). So, it has great theoretical and realistic meaning.
