Research And Design Of The Embedded Mobile Navigation System

Based on analysis of the gradual development and the nowadays various applications of navigation, the trend that portable mobile navigation system which evolves from car navigation system becomes a popular main application of navigation system is concluded. Consequently , the development of embedded mobile navigation system becomes a hot project in the field of IT.An embedded mobile navigation system is essentially a system which integrates the navigation technology and the spatial information technique based on embedded mobile environment. Therefore, the principles and architecture of the embedded system which is the running environment of mobile navigation are at first introduced in this thesis. Moreover, the advantages and disadvantages of various location technologies are compared while the principles of these techniques are introduced; and then the spatial information techniques which include spatial database technique, spatial index technique, map-matching algorithm and best route plan algorithm are separately introduced and analyzed in detail. Eventually on the basis of introduction and analysis about these key technologies an embedded mobile navigation system is designed and partially realized by using the object-oriented method.
