This thesis describes the organic geochemical characters of the hydrocarbon source rocks in Permo-carboniferous in Luxi region of Shan-dong Province in detail according to the data of the rock cores of different drills. Firstly, this thesis analyzes the sedimentary characters and regional geological characters about the researched areas and discusses its general characters and special characters. Secondly, based on the geological characters the division of organic facies is studied. During the study, the variation and connection of the geologic bodies in the lateral and vertical are mainly stressed. Based on the lithofacies paleogeography, this paper divides and studies the sedimentary organic facies of the hydrocarbon source rocks according to the data of organic lithology and organic geochemistry. Based on the characters of sedimentary environment,organic lithology and organic geochemistry.the hydrocarbon source rocks can be divided four types,all the research is useful to the evaluating on the capability of generating hydrocarbon. Also this thesis evaluates the organic geochemistry characters of the hydrocarbon source rocks, that is to say, analyzes the three organic geochemical factors that decide the formation of oil gas. The three factors include the organic abundance and quantum, types and qualities of organic materials and maturity, which helps to define the potential of oil gas. Finally, from the two angles of the structural characters of oil fields and the organic geochemical characters of the hydrocarbon source rocks, this thesis mainly analyzes the dark argillaceous rocks in the coal seams or coal series. And according to the geochemical index and sedimentary environment, the paper divides the types of coal gas, anticipates ranges of its development and initiatively evaluate the resources of coal gas in Luxi region of Shandong Province.
