Ordos basin is a large energy source basin, which stores energy sources such as oil, natural gas, coal, uranium and so on. It plays an important role in Chinese energy source structure. These energy sources were stored in different geological horizon. But the era impelling their interaction and coexisting each other should be Mesozoic era. So, it is very important to know objectively the regularity of coexistence and enrichment of muti-ernergy mineral, which formation and evolution of Ordos basin in Meso-Cenozoic era is studied. Ordos basin and the periphery structure were already studied successively by Zhao Chongyuan, Tang Xiyuan, Yang Junjie, Zhangkang and so on, and their research achievement already became typical and were applied to the exploration of the energy mineral extensively. But most people' s research focuses in the west and the south, seldom researched to structure of the east. The research that tectonics fault controls the basin was less. This text combines geophysical survey data and deciphers space feature of Lishi fault through ETM+ images that were panned by Landsat. Lishi fault is divided into five sections according to analyzing fault strike, structural feature, sedimentary response, physiognomy relief etc. To contrast Mesozoic stratum of some sections of different areas of both sides of Lishi fault, the text researches the frame of sedimentary environment of variant stages of Mesozoic and the activity characteristic, utilizing correlation method of thickness of stratum and analysis of sedimentary environment and sedimentary facies, and deduces the control action of Lishi fault. All in all, Ordos basin was controlled mainly by the formation and closure of old Tethys branch - Qinling Indo-Chinese epoch ocean basin which is located between Huabei plate and Yangzi plate in early-middle Triassic , Lishi fault has no influence on basin deposit. The activity of Pacific Ocean tectonics range has influence on the basin more and more obviously, but Lishi fault activity and control action to Ordos basin...
