Temporality is the basic attribute of Cadastral Information System. The construction of Temporal Cadastral Information System is immediately needed for scientific and efficient management of land. Land subdivision is the main content of cadastral temporal information. So the management of land subdivision is the key issue of Temporal Cadastral Information System. In this dissertation, urban land subdivision is the central subject of the study. After analyzing the composition and character of urban land subdivision the author studies the realization of land subdivision of Cadastral Information System via utilizing the Spatio-temporal data model and the technique of database and object oriented.1. After analyzing and comparing the character of several kinds of basic spatio-temporal data models, it is concluded that the spatio-temporal data model based on base state'with amendments is the suitable spatio-temporal data model for Urban Cadastral Information System.2. After extending the spatio-temporal data model based on base state with amendments by using the technique of object oriented, the object-oriented spatio-temporal data model based on base state with amendments is putted forward.3. Associating with the Object-oriented data model of Object-relation GIS, the spatio-temporal database of Urban Cadastral Information System is designed in detail by utilizing the extended the spatio-temporal data model based on base state with amendments.4. The functions of realization of the urban land subdivision and temporal cadastral query are stutied and experimented in Urban Cadastral Information System.
