Research Of Urban Spatial Basic Information Publishing Technology Based On WebGIS

Along with the development of computer and network technique, the Geographical Information System was impacted on; People want to use a handy simply GIS. All these lend to WebGIS coming into being.The thesis tries to apply the technique of WebGIS to urban spatial basic information publishing system based on the existing WebGIS software, which is the base of digital government and digital earth. First, according to urban spatial basic information's feature and the needing, urban spatial basic information publishing system is devised. Second, ArcSDE and Oracle are used to manage urban spatial basic information according to object data management mode. Third, this system is used metadata technology to be beneficial to manage data, to look up the needing data, to realize spatial information sharing. Fourth, ASP is used to visit database, ArcIMS is used to publish the urban spatial basic information. In addition ArcXML is used in the data management and exchange. Data security is realized. At last, this paper states the visa of WebGIS and the problem needing to be resolved first in the developing WebGIS.
