| Karst subsidence is one of the main geologic hazard in China . Its occurrence anddevelopment are complicated , and its fathering and detecting are much difficult too .Therefore it is of realistic meaning that the reasons of its occurrence and treatmentmeasures are investigated and researched in detail . Based on engineering practice ,the hydrogeologic feature , rock and soil engineering geology feature and themechanism of action of karst subsidence area are analyzed and researched deeply , aseries of experience of determining method of the exact distributing of karst , theforecasting method of the development of karst , the attempting of advancedmaterial-controlled technology in karst detecting , the determining experience ofrunoff channels of groundwater , the relation between karst subsidence and geologicconfiguration , the reasonable determining of the rules of depth distributing of harmfulwater-eroded caves , etc are summarized and searched . It is presented and practicedthat comprehensive treatment and comprehensive detection of karst subsidence shouldbe taken for subsidence fathering;a system of comprehensive evaluation of theeffecting range and extent of harm of karst subsidence is established . At the sametime, the endangerment resulted from karst subsidence in Tangshan Sports Center issolved , providing experience of fathering local karst subsidence geologic hazard tothat area .
