Aimed at the study of techniques of 3D seismic data interpretative-processing and seismic data visualization, according to the requirements and feature of 3D seismic data interpretation and the software or hardware characters of PC at present, a suit of management of 3D seismic data and visual interpretation system is put forward in this paper, which conforms to the conventionality of 3D seismic data interpretation. This system is based on techniques of seismic data interpretation and techniques of full 3D seismic data interpretation on PC. It solve some technology problems of seismic data interpretation. With some third-party libraries and redeveloping techniques, the system which has been realized on PC by Visual C++ 6.0 in the direction of object-oriented technology has such functions as follows: synchronous horizon and fault interpretation, horizon calibration using the theoretical wavelet with frequency variation to make synthetic seismogram, track strata, 3D graphics display, extraction and analysis of seismic attributes, interpretation technique of spectral decomposition, thin bed thickness prediction, contour drawing etc, at the same time, the output can be exported as AutoCAD format for subsequent disposal. This system also has full 3D interpretations, such as non-linear catastrophe theory, coherence technique, variance technique and dip/azimuth analysis etc, extraction of seismic attributes including 65 kinds of horizon seismic attribute, several kinds of bedding rock structure seismic attribute, mathematical transform attribute basing on seismic profile and 3D data volume attribute in this system. This paper systematically studied the current methods of seismic attribute extraction, analysis, process and reservoir parameters prediction, in order to make an instructive role in practice and accelerate the theory study. By this means, this paper has some instructive and referenced value in application of seismic attribute technology. In order to make the interpretation system unitized, different interpolation methods for special seismic data andcontour drawing technique should be studied, such as Kriging, radial basis function and least-square data fitting etc. With unique and convenient techniques of data management and data access, the system can work more quickly and need minimal configuration about PC. According to the application of practical 3D seismic data by this system, it can satisfy the requirements of seismic data interpretation in most prospects and works stably, at this point, the system has wide popularized prospect and practical value.In a conclusion, this paper keeps the track of the modern trend of quantitative interpretation of 3D seismic data and presented practical software to quantitatively describe seismic interpretation. This method is close to the latest advance in the related subject, and has great theoretical value. Meanwhile, the theoretical research is highly related to the practical application, and has practical value in production.
