At present, the developed OOIP and annual oil production of complex faulted block field account for 1/3. Complex faulted block reservoir is the basic component unit of complex faulted block field, because of the complexity of its geologic structure, fluid property, oil-water system, the exploration and development procedure is different from big massive oilfield, it should follow the procedure, but not absolute, it is usually progressive step-out. Disposition of development well pattern, division of layer series of development, injection-production system and determination of other methods to maintain formation pressure should conform to the principles of overall disposition, implementation in batches, adjustment in time and gradual perfection. The concrete development technology application breaks through the features of simplification and closure. The comprehensive application of various technologies, such as geophysical technology, logging technology, conventional geological research technology, is enhanced according to the reservoir features and integrative conception on exploration and development at different development phases. The optimization of drilling and oil recovery engineering are considered based on reservoir engineering optimization design, and the corresponding technical measures and standards are brought forward from the actual reservoir point of view, and the work for dynamic reservoir monitoring is put in the first place on comprehensive reservoir management. Now, reasonable procedure design from exploration to comprehensive development and technical configuration are basically formed under the effort of former researchers, for the future, the corresponding development methods are set up and perfected by taking complex faulted block reservoir with different sedimentary setting, reservoir types as basic unit to lay a stable foundation for further developing complex faulted block field reasonably and effectively.In this paper, the reserves and productivity construction are carried out at the same time based on the reservoir features and the enhancement of comprehensive application of advanced technology through adopting integrative exploration and development working style by taking the exploration and development of Jin 612 faulted block in Western Sag in Liaohe oil province as example, forming a virtuous circle of geologic recognition and reasonable and effective development and increasing. Finally, the basic pattern and the practice of reasonably and effectively developing heavy oil reservoir in complex small blocks have been summarized.
