The present paper dealt with the classification of the beetle family Coccinellidae in Shanxi Province. Coccinellid fauna of Shanxi was reltatively less studied and a checklist of the family was published in 1999, containing 41 species. With extensive collection in Shanxi Province in 2005 and 2006, a total of 63 species were collected and dealt with in this paper, belonging to 6 subfamilies and 26 genera. Of these species, 33are new to Shanxi, including 3 described as new to science, all the types are deposited at the Institute of Plant and Environmental Protection, Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Science, Beijing. 1 described as new record to Mainland China, and 29 as new record to Shanxi Province. Up to now, 72 coccinellid species have been recorded in this province. Finally, we estimate the total number of lady beetles occurred in this province comes to about 100 species. Following are the new taxa to Shanxi.New species:Sasajiscymnus ligulaceus sp. nov.Sasajiscymnus zhongtiaoshan sp. nov.Sasajiscymnus acerosus sp. nov.New record to Mainland China:Nephus quadrimaculatus (Herbst, 1783)New record to Shanxi:Nephus ziguiensis Yu, 1997Nephus (Bipunctatus) neixiangicus Yu, 2000Nephus (Nephus) phosphorus (Lewis, 1896)Sasajiscymnus curvatus (Yu, 2000)Scymnus (Pullus) japonicus Weise, 1879Scymnus (Pullus) yaling Yu, 2000Scymnus (Pullus) ancontophyllus Ren et Pang, 1992Scymnus (Pullus) penicilliformis Yu, 2000Scymnus (Pullus) yangi Yu et Pang, 2000Scymnus (Pullus) posticalis Sicard, 1912Scymnus (Pullus) rectoides Sasaji, 1971Scymnus (Pullus) centralis Kamiya, 1965Scymnus (Scymnus) crinitus Fürsch, 1966Scymnus (Scymnus) folchnii Canepari, 1979Scymnus (Scymnus) dolichonychus Yu et Pang, 1994Scymnus (Scymnus) sp.Shirozuella parenthesis Yu, 2000Epilachna insignis Gorham, 1982Epilachna quadricollis (Dieke, 1947)Epilachna apicilaris Yu, 2000Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata (Linnaeus, 1758)Calvia quatuordecimguttata (Linnaeus, 1758)Calvia muiri (Timberlake, 1943)Oenopia scalaris (Timberlake, 1943)Oenopia sp.Hyperaspis gyotokui Kamiya, 1963Sumnius brunneus Jing, 1983Serangium japonicum Chapin, 1940Diomus sp.New species described as below:1.
