Study On The Application Of Office GIS In Urban Planning & Management

As a main component of "Digital City", to informationize the urban planning with advanced and applied urban planning and management information system will be scientific, veracious and timely for management. The department of urban planning administration needs not only OA, but also Office GIS which combines OA and GIS.In this paper, the technique of Office GIS and the application of Office GIS in urban planning and management were researched. The main work as following:(1) The analysis of both the development tendency and application requirement of urban planning and management.(2) The study on the Office GIS and Office GIS technique framework.(3) The key technologies closely relative to Office GIS such as integrating heterogeneous geographic information, combing GIS with workflow technology, and spatial data organization and management.(4) The method and application of Office GIS in urban planning and management.(5) An instance of the application of Office GIS in urban planning and management.The research shows that, as the basic technology of urban planning management, theapplication of Office GIS on urban planning management can combine the operation flow and spatial operation, and integrate the graphic data and text well.
