It has very important significance for analyzing deformation reason, adjusting the construction rhythm to realize controlling the settlement rate, guiding construction effectively, verifying design and ensuring safety, that deformation monitoring of seawall construction in complicated geology condition can ensure seawall engineering construction proceeds as planned, report some basic information such as plane displace and its rate, seawall function settlement and its rate and discovery and predict in-normal phenomenon in time.In this paper, the characteristic and requirement of deformation monitoring and its order, monitoring period are studied. Some problems are discussed. One is the scheme planning of plane displacement monitoring using GPS in seawall construction, the observation of monitoring datum network and monitoring network, networks adjustment and precision statistics, data analysis and deformation prediction. One is the scheme planning of settlement monitoring using digital leveling instrument in seawall construction, the observation of monitoring datum network and monitoring network, networks adjustment and precision statistics, data analysis and deformation prediction, the application test of GPS height fitting in settlement monitoring, include model choice and fix points determent, fitting results statistics and error analysis. In addition, some deformation prediction methods are mentioned such as the regressive analysis, the modeling thinking of stationary time series analysis, the processing of non-stationary time series analysis and the dynamic model of gray GM(1,N) system analysis.The deformation monitoring of NO.18 seawall of Jordan is introduced as an example. The application of GPS and digital leveling instrument is introduced. In this monitoring, the work plays an important role for seawall safety, such as high-density settlement bench markets, high-frequency observations period and a series of data processing, which can provide reference roles for similar engineering.
