Oil shale is a kind of important supplementary source of energy for oil and gas. Currently, lacking of supply and demand of oil and gas,oil price increasing sharply, facing with the difficulty of increase conventional oil and gas reserves and output, oil shale has aroused the people's great attention of the world owing to its enormous reserves, potential and comprehensive utilization value. But the evaluate method that mainly is geochemical method have many drawbacks, and metallogenic mechamism dimness, these factors affect the prospection and exploitation of oil shale. In this paper,we study the oil shale Characteristics by the results of test;establish the quantity correlationship of log information and oil-bearing rate, provide much exact and reasonable parameter for the evaluation oil shale.;establish the metallogenic mode by study the metallogenic condition of BaGeMaoDe oil shale. We do a lot of analysis, consisting of low temperature distillation, industry analysis, geochemistry and pyrolysis analysis. Gain that BaGeMaoDe oil shale belong to low oil-bearing rate and medium ash oil shale. The average of the oil-bearing rate is 4.72%,the ash content is 77.83% and the caloricity is 3.82MJ/Kg. The main types of organic material of oil shale is II1. The maturity of oil shale is immature stage. The main component of yield hydrocarbon is alginit, sporophyte, exinite, asphalt matrix, and so on.We evaluate oil shale using resistivity and acoustictime superposition method(?logR method)with the character of with high resolution in the vertical,in order to avoid the drawbacks of geochemical method on oil shale study. We establish the quantity correlationship of log information and oil-bearing rate(Ta=0.0728?t -5.1177LogR -1.0599)by regretional analysis with SPSS statistics software. Then we confirm that the method meet the demand of the oil shale evaluation by compare log results with organic geochemical and analyse the error. This method retrieval shortage of test analysis in the laboratory and supply much exact and reasonable parameter for the evaluation oil shale. We classify the core sedimentary facies by describing the drilling core and log information. We identify two kinds of sedimentary facies in BaYinGeBi formation that are fan delta and lacustrine facies, six kinds of subfacies that are fan delta plain, fan delta front,pre-delta,semi-bathile,bathile and gravity flow, twelve kinds of microfacies. Oil shale mainly deposit in semi-bathile and bathile facies. Then we analyse the sedimentary facies distribution of BaYinGeBi formation. We establish the sequence strata trellis in this district based on sequence stratigraphy, develop a third class sequence, four system tract correspond the four evolvement phase of basin. Oil shale mainly distribute in Transgression systems tract and Hign systems tract.Though element ratio we study the metallogenic condition of oil shale. The climate is exothermic climate by the ratio of Sr/Cu(4.46-25.04);sedimentary environment is brackish-salt water and desoxidation environment by the ratio of Sr/Ba(0.71-1.55)and V/(V+Ni)(0.54-0.82).We establish the metallogenic mode of BaGeMaoDe oil shale by study on sedimentary facies, sequence stratigraphy, paleoclimate, paleoenvironment and palaeotectonics condition of oil shale formation. Oil shale is deposited in exothermic climate,brackish-salt water and semi-bathile - bathile facies desoxidation environment;Oil shale mainly distribute in Transgression systems tract and Hign systems tract. Paleoclimate control the oil shale by affect the origin of organic material;paleoenvironment control the sedimentation and conserve condition;tectonics control the distribution and thickness of the oil shale.
