In this thesis, first to understand that GIS has features of data processing, data editing, data management, spatial query and spatial analysis, which is the advantage of GIS to be used in geological field and is the just reason why choose the GIS as the tool by making a brief introduction of GIS. Then know that many project accidents are directly or indirectly related to geological factors by accessing a lot of documents. So clear, it is important and necessary to evaluate the conditions of the engineering geology.Later bring forward that so-called engineering geology is that synthetically considering geological factors in the engineering activities, and then providing evaluation of geological conditions related. After understanding the conception above, the author educe that:1. At present , there is not a information system which integrates earthquake and geology information to form a special system for the engineering geology evaluation. So, making the geology evaluation simplification and independence, which makes every different department harmonized bothered. In that case, can't review for the field synthetically. Even sometimes, resulting in the cross among different departments. The result is that the integrative condition of the field is fuzzy and increasing engineering constructed cost.2. The formed information most used for geotechnical engineering to manage, product and research. Still in the static display or discriminant of the single geological disasters. Now has not been realized integrated and dynamic.Aim at the blank above, in this thesis, primarily apply experts or normative model to evaluate soil bearing capacity and deformation parameters, field classification, sand-soil liquefaction, seismic risk, fault distribution and groundwater situation. Then embed the evaluated model and the results into GIS, forming a professional system to complete dynamic, integrated, and visual display. At last, take the borehole data of south-city of Qingdao and engineering investigation groundwater data of QianHao International Square as an example to demonstrate the system's operation. Through the demonstration, can obtain that the system has a certain practicality and reliability, and can be intuitive display, intelligent judgement and spatial analysis. Achieve the purpose in principle.During completing the system, obtain some innovation results as following:1.Integrate geology information such as earthquake, soil physical parameters calculation and groundwater evaluation and so on, to form a special system for the engineering geology evaluation. It can be used for providing referenced warrant for urban land and plan decision-making directly. Consequently, ease the geological disaster reflection for engineering, and reduce the fare of disaster maintenance.2.Dynamic realize the calculating soil physical parameters, field classification ,liquefaction discrimination and the district, contour of the top of the bedrock and groundwater evaluation. It is advantage to promote the development of engineering geological survey industries and raise the level of the information building. So that it could be more efficient to provide information warrant and suggestion of the soil for city construction, to obtain disaster-prevention purposes finally.3. Embed the calculated model into GIS, to develop a system which has friendly interactive interface. It has more intuitive operability also. At the same time, use powerful database processing functions of GIS to store a large number of geological information safely and effectively. Otherwise, some functions have been compiled into modules which advantage to the development and well-developed again.Generally speaking, the system can be formed for providing a reasonable method for the engineering geological data storage, providing a convenient and efficient mean for the results visually display, providing field information for urban construction and providing groundwater information for construction. Achieve the purpose of preventing or reducing the geological disaster. Finally to providing help for city construction.
