In recent years,the urbanization process has been accelerating,and the construction of engineering infrastructure has become more frequent,which has a strong dependence on engineering geology.Therefore,carrying out engineering geological zoning and engineering suitability evaluation in a specific area can not only guide the project construction and urban planning in the region,but also achieve more reasonable utilization and protection of geological environmental conditions,and promote the harmonious coexistence of human activities and natural conditions.Based on the project of Fuping County Earthquake Dividing,this paper demarcates the research area,collects relevant materials,conducts on-site investigation,engineering exploration and on-site and indoor tests,and deeply analyzes the geomorphic types,geological structures and geotechnical types within the site.Causes and physical and mechanical properties,unfavorable geological phenomena and hydrogeology.On this basis,according to the principle of “similarity in area,inter-regional difference”,the topography,stratum lithology,construction site category and artificial fill thickness are selected as the basis for partitioning,and the engineering area is divided into engineering geology.The engineering geological division adopts three-level division: firstly,according to the type of landform and its genetic form,it is divided into first-level division;secondly,it is divided into sub-areas according to the secondlevel geomorphic unit and the rock-soil structure;finally,according to the wave velocity pulsation result,It is divided into sections based on the site's artificial fill thickness and the type of construction site.Finally,the study area is divided into 4 districts,10 sub-regions,and 14 segments.Considering the identification of engineering geological conditions and the division of engineering geology,it is not only to serve the later earthquake division,but also to serve the construction of the project.Therefore,the author further carried out the research on the project suitability division,which is convenient for the subsequent construction.Provide reference materials and technical guidance.The suitability zoning evaluation of this project selects the terrain slope,ground elevation,soil layer structure,geotechnical type,shear wave velocity,compression coefficient,groundwater level,fill thickness and collapsibility coefficient based on the results of the secondary division of the engineering geological section.The index system was established by nine factors.The research area was divided into four areas: suitable(I),suitable(II),poor suitability(III)and unsuitable(IV).The final evaluation results are divided into Shichuan River river bed and floodplain,Shichuan River first terrace,and Weihe first terrace,which are divided into suitable areas(I).The Wenquan River bed and floodplain,the first terrace of the Wenquan River and the third terrace of the Shichuan River are divided into the suitable area(II),the second terrace of Shichuan River,Jingshan loess tableland,and Fu loess tableland are divided into suitable area(III),and Huayang loessland is divided into unsuitable area(IV).
