With the rapid development of remote sensing technology, and more obtaining of Earth images observation data, more and more of the same area multi-temporal, multi-band data is also on the rise, the formation of Earth observation of the multi-level resolution image pyramid system, there has been Massive image data such concept. it is particularly important that how to manage and organizate such amounts of data.Informer land survey, remote sensing images of land only as the data source,and did not managed after the survey. and in the second national land survey, remote sensing image data need to be incorporated into the database management, effective organization of these remote-sensing image data is the focus of this article.According to this problem, the paper summarized management content of image data in land survey, and studied the key technical, organizational strategy in the organization and management of image data, made experiments based on ArcGIS, devised organizational model of remote sensing image data at all levels of land survey database in the light of experimental results. to draw the following conclusions:1.Remote sensing image data is not only as the survey base maps in the survey of land, but also stored in the database of land surveys as the basis of data sources, provided services for making management decision, reasonable data organization provided indemnify for data applications.2.Through analyzing key technologies in organization and management of remote sensing image data, such as image pyramid model, different space index, visualization, compared with different models, the advantages and disadvantages of different algorithms, we had the efficiency test based on the ArcGIS, and at the county level, image data in storage had the smallest average response time when establish 3-layer pyramid, the number of sub-block 128 * 128, re-sampling method for the bilinear interpolation .3. Combination of the composition and the construction features of land survey database in Jilin Province, based on analysis of land survey in the scope of database application, applying ArcGIS and ArcSDE engine, the paper achieved the storage of remote sensing image in county-level land survey database, and achieved the best effect in accordance with the optimal settings in experiment. The study proved that the application of ArcSDE and SQL server database on the remote sensing image data storage is achievable and reasonable, when set up ayer pyramid-rise block for 128 * 128, re-sampling method for the bilinear interpolation method, image data show that the fastest time to call.4.The paper contrasted and analyzed raster dataset and raster catalog, and had an experiment, experimental results indicated that the organization of raster dataset is slightly better than raster catalog at data calling in the same data quantity . Based on experiment, analyzing data features application needs city and provincial-level, we had a result that remote sensing image data in city-level land survey database should apply ArcSDE engine, stored in SQLServer database, organized in raster catalog; based on analyzing sub-county organizations and sub-zone organizations in provincial image database, we had a result that remote sensing image data in city-level land survey database should apply sub-county organizations in raster dataset, stored in Oracle database through ArcSDE engine.
