This thesis centers on design and development of automatic monitoring system based on GPS positioning technology,which applied in monitoring system for different types of project ships,such as arrangement ship,dredge ship,etc.,were realized.That improved accuracy of project ships,also raised the automation level for waterway regulation and dredging construction of project ships.Finally,it attained the goal that monitoring and controlling integration of automatic monitor system applied in project ships.First,the development trend and research of the project ship monitoring technology at home and abroad were reviewed,and the developing history and current situation of GPS positioning technology used in monitoring system were mainly introduced.So that shortcomings and weaknesses of domestic project ship automatic monitoring system,base on GPS positioning technology,were pointed out. Therefore,this thesis gave research objectives and contents focusing on these questions.Secondly,the GPS positioning technology was introduced,including the structure and principle of the GPS positioning system,then the classification of GPS coordinate systems and the conversion relationship among them were set out.Based on these theories,several key technologies of the GPS-based monitoring system were analyzed and compared.And combined with the characteristics of monitor,pick out "1+2" dynamic differential model which precision was higher.In addition,the construction positioning results of project ship must be the local coordinate system, so GPS information should be coordinate transferred,then conversion algorithms for coordinate transformation were offered,focusing on steps of establishing mathematical model for coordinate transformation.According to different characteristics of the object construction,the advantages and disadvantages of the two kinds of three-dimensional coordinate information acquisition and handling were analyzed and compared.Then this thesis determined the design proposal of integrating GPS plane coordinates positioning information and depth sounder data to attain the three-dimensional coordinates information.Finally,with engineering project and laboratory pre-research projects, application of GPS positioning technology in arrangement ship automatic monitoring systems,and the design and development of the three-dimensional information monitoring system in dredge ship was realized.The flexibility and the importance of essential of the GPS positioning module in engineering applications ships monitoring system which designed in this thesis were reflected from different angles.In this thesis,Visual Basic 6.0 was the software environment for the automatic monitoring system,Visual C + + 6.0 was used to package GPS positioning function modules as DLL file,which can be used in different types of project ships integrated with monitoring system as a whole,overcame the defect of GPS production in today's market,which can not be used and integrated in monitoring system.
