Based on the needs of current oil-gas exploration and exploitation, also the under -standings about what the reservoir seismic prediction technique came from, about its development history and current conditions, and about its future trends, this paper holding tight combination with the production practice, mainly applies reservoir seismic prediction techniques to the Damoguaihe Formation of Wudong Slope in Wuerxun sag to carry out qualitative prediction about the sandstone reservoirs in this area, further, to point out the distribution rules of the favorable exploration sections.Firstly, sequence stratigraphic study is carried out in this area. During this process, the identification standards of the interface between formation and segment are established and the dividing lines between formations and segments are confirmed014. And then refined tectonic explanation about the strata of Damoguaihe Formation is accomplished, obtaining eleven strata units, and the sequence stratigraphic structure is established too. Secondly, on the basis of what has been done in this area, the paper associates single well facies analysis with seismic facies analysis, and analyzes the plane distribution characters of the sedimentary systems in units of segments in this area with seismic, logging and well drilling data, confirming the sedimentary systems development rules. Furthermore, the paper implements seismic attribute analysis with extracted seismic intrabed attributes which are in unit of segments and makes a preliminary forecast about the reservoir distribution conditions of every formation and segment. With the constrained sparse spike inversion technique, the paper carries out sandstone reservoir prediction of the Damoguaihe Formation of Wudong Slope. At first, formation lithologies and reservoir logging sensibility analysis are put into practice, and then the wave impedance crossplot analysis and formation lithologic correlation, to find that the deep laterolog resistivity curve can distinguish the sandstone from the shale fairly well. Lately, studies about sandstone reservoir distribution characters in subdivided strata units have been done with deep laterolog resistivity inversion and stochastic simulation inversion techniques. It has got quantitative forecast results of reservoir sandstone thickness distribution.With applications of the above techniques and with analysis about oil-gas accumulation rules and factors in Wudong Slope, the paper makes comprehensive evaluation about reservoirs in this area, establishes relevant geological model and confirms the favorable sections to supply basic materials for target optimization and development plan design.
