In the geological exploration's work, on the one hand, part of the geologic body's accurate data can be got from the restricted geological exploration projects; but on the other hand, accurate geologic body configuration can't be known in the big underground environment. Geological body itself is a grey system, so it can be studied by grey system. This paper choosed the grey system theory to prospect the unknown drills' average grade of an exploration profile of the surface. The plan of the surface drilling projects can get some reference from the results. In this article, the GM(1,1)model,metabolic GM(1,1)model and GM(1,2)model were used to build the grey system of ZK23026,ZK2313,ZK2301,ZK2314,ZK2303and ZK2315 six drills away from 50 meters of the number 23 section line in Saishitang's copper mining area. According to the tests' precision of the models' date, the metabolic GM (1, 1) model was chosen as the paper's prospect model, according to the model, the number of ZK2306 away from 90 meters of the number of ZK2305 drill's average grade was forecasted, the forecast result was 0.93 percent, and the fact value was 0.93 percent, the forecast error was 0.Comparing with the traditional method of resource estimation, the application of geostatistic in estimation of solid fuels and mineral resources have following advantages:â‘ fully considered the spatial variability between the grade of ore body and the mineralization intensity;â‘¡it can not only estimate the evaluation of integrals but also the partial;â‘¢gain high precision estimation and avoid system error;â‘£it can describe the precision estimation in quantity. In this article, the MicroMine software was used to establish the Saishitang copper mining area's geological database which includes 302 old and new drills, the M2 ore body's configuration was sketched in the exploratory profile through the database and it's three-dimensional wire frame model was built based on the configuration. According to the original grade data of sample, the experimental semi variable function and the theoretical semi variable function of the grade along the ore body's strike,dip and vertical direction was computed . After through crossing validation analysis, the theoretical semi variable function of the grade along the ore body's strike as krige valuation modeling was choosed. Based on this function, the M2's three-dimensional wire frame model was used as restrict borderline to establish M2's three-dimensional entity model. This model was used to compute the ore reserve and the resource of M2 ore body. At last, comparing this method's result with the inverse distance weight's, the two method's error is only 5.5%, and the reserve result of geostatistic method is less than IDW method.
