3-D seismic survey is rarely utilized in urban engineering investigation, especially the domestic application of this aspect. Data processing of shallow 3-D seismic survey is emphasized particularly on in this study, and the key processes are denoising technique, amplitude compensation and deconvolution of shallow 3-D seismic survey. A set of data, which are applicable to the shallow data processing flow and parameters of the site, are chosen through a large number of experiments of processing parameter and processing module. A shallow reflecting layer exists in the post-stacking profile, which is with distinctive wave-group characteristics, stable waveform and continuous traceableness. Finally, 3-D display method is used in a simple data interpretation. The paper results show the feasibility of 3-D seismic exploration in urban engineering investigation.
