In modern times, it is a new task to carry out engineering prospecting in urban conditions. A diverse array of technological difficulties are characteristic of urban engineering prospecting, such as the difficulty in arranging lines, the obstruction of buildings and traffic, and the prevention of the surroundings. With the development of society, the technology once applied in prospecting hydrocarbon and coal fields is increasingly used and spread in urban engineering prospecting. Seismic prospecting along the flexible wide line is intended to be used for areas with complex surface and subterranean conditions. It characterizes variability of the direction of curved line as well as multiple receptions from wide lines.Processing seismic data is a vital part in seismic prospecting. The paper deals with the methods and programs in processing data from seismic prospecting along flexible wide lines with a view to help apply the technology of seismic prospecting along flexible wide lines in urban engineering. Computers are used to help arrange lines to guarantee the fold of flexible wide lines in field work. The paper introduces various methods of line arrangement and their strong and weak points. It designs related programs for data processing, which is suitable for urban engineering prospecting, including the creation, horizontal stacking and slope angle stacking of common element gather of flexible wide lines and slant stacking of flexible wide lines. In addition it examines horizontal and perpendicular slope angles, and gives a brief introduction of the velocity analysis of flexible wide lines. The theoretical calculations and practical calculations show that these processing programs are practicable in terms of methodological experiment.
