In recent years, Turn-milling is one of the hot question in Mechanical processing and the future important developing direction. tangential turn-milling that appear recently is one of the important method of turn-milling, research works do not conduct in domestic currently . So , it is positive significance to promote to the application of turn- milling technology that study of the tangential turn-milling cutting mechanism and the influence of the parameters on the surface roughness.the mathematical model of the tangential turn-milling machining movement is established useing vector method in the paper . Develop 3d simulation system using the autolisp language, get that the several cutting parameters of milling gear, speed ratio, axial feeding, spiral Angle etc influence in the blade track.By means of research on the formation mechanism of tangential turn-milling theoretic surface roughness, establish the calculation model of theoretical surface roughness and workpiece surface morphology of 3d model. Using matlab language, develop the simulation system of tangential turn-milling surface topography. by Changing different cutting parameters, the affective factors to workpiece theoretic surface roughness and surface morphology can be obtained .such as speed ratio, spiral Angle, axial feed, cutting depth and cutter diameter etc. For tangential turn-milling machining Z101 aluminum alloy test, Results show that axial feed increased, the surface roughness also increased, as speed ratio increased, the surface roughness declined ,there are the basic same with theoretical analysis and experimental results.
