A new architecture for intelligent controller of air-jet loom was proposed by our research team to meet the large demand of air-jet looms in current domestic market which was consist of human-machine interaction system, the underlying main control module and let-off/take-up control module.The independent subsystems were designed with different CPUs, and the data communication between the human machine interaction system and the underlying control modules were realized by CAN bus.Human-machine interaction system, which was on the top-level of intelligent controller, was the loom's information command center to coordinate communicating between all kinds of underlying control modules.This paper expatiates the design of human-machine interaction system based on Win CE for intelligent controller of air-jet loom.Firstly, the design of embedded hardware circuit with 32 bit microprocessor(EP9307) based on ARM9 was introduced, including the building of the smallest embedded system, the design of I/O module,USB interface, UART interface , Ethernet interface and CAN communication interface; Secondly, the Win CE operating system was migrated according to the hardware platform, mainly including the design of Boot Loader,the development of OAL layer and driver,cutting the appropriate Win CE operating system and curing the system image file to the embedded hardware platform;Thirdly,using multi-thread,data synchronization and other technology ,the application software of human-machine interaction was designed coupled with Win CE interrupt mechanism.The communication program was designed according to the self-defined CAN bus protocol, data exchange of the air-jet loom was achieved using the way of read and write files,no matter under the states of offline or online.For the limited resource of embedded system,the friendly human-machine interface was designed using the strategy of fault-tolerance and multi-user license,etc;Finally, the intelligent setting of technical parameters for air-jet loom was achieved.The expert system based on air-jet loom technical parameters was completed adopting distributed database, knowledge base and inference engine, so that even the new textile workers can operate the air-jet loom simply.The basic function of human-machine interaction system for intelligent controller of air-jet loom was complemented.The intelligent setting of technical parameters for air-jet loom which was first proposed is a good attempt to achieve intelligent controller for air-jet loom.
