Squeeze casting is a process of casting method, when the liquid metals pour into the mold,it under high mechanical stress imposed, to forming and solidification. For the current existingproblems such as compaction pressure, it is difficult to determine in squeeze casting. Thesqueeze casting which under high temperature and pressure is undergoing a complex physicaland chemical-mechanical process, and the cost become higher than in the actual state of squeezecasting solidification process. Therefore, in order to determine the appropriate value ofcompaction pressure, it is necessary to understand some squeeze casting technology about thepressure on the impact of the solidification process, and its transmission and loss of law andother issues with the numerical simulation.According to the characteristics of the research topic, the paper selected the convex-typepunch squeeze casting which is a typical squeeze casting process for the study, and determine touse the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation techniques as combining routes. Firstly,summarizing the results of the research in squeeze casting and compaction pressure of thesituation. Subsequently, analyze the pressure effect on the solidification mechanism, includingthe under cooling, micro segregation, grain size and precipitation of gas, creating the formingmechanical theory in the squeeze casting, obtaining the basis for determining the value ofcompaction pressure. And then analyze the existing theoretical model which is used to calculatethe compaction pressure and obtain shortcomings, then deducing the critical need pressureformula which on account of the formation works method.In the numerical simulation studies, based on the above formula, this paper ascertains sevenkinds of conditions. In the simplified model of the foundation, with limited element analysis toolsProCAST, we obtained the stress field, temperature field, solidification field and filling processparameters and other data in convex-type punch squeeze casting. Through the analysis of atypical condition, obtains a solidification of general change rule for the raised-like drift extrusioncasting sufficient, the coagulation we got the changing rule of the pressure follow the coagulationtime, the rate of cooling follow the pressure and the impact of the pressure follow the shrinkage.Moreover, while obtains the Fine texture along with extrusion pressure change, also has made the deep analysis for the reason of the organization refinement's formation; According to theanalogue result, obtained the appropriate pressure, also confirmed the rationality of the criticalpressure t computation model the rationality.Using a reasonable theoretical calculation model and computer simulation method to studythe compaction pressure of transmission, losses and the impact on the solidification process, willprovide a reliable platform for process parameters of selection and optimization, also equipmentselection and transformation, in order to respond to the concept of green manufacturing and thelow-carbon economy.
