Series Product Design Of Arc Welding Inverter Based On QFD

During the process of the design of series new type arc welding inverter, Quality Function Deployment was used for the best quality, customer satisfaction, marketing campaign enhancement, lower cost and design speed improvement. Through customer requirement investigation, a quality house was established. Then the process matrix about quality requirements and technique schemes was listed. Furthermore the technique measure weight was calculated, so a quantified platform was presented to translate customer抯 needs into quantifiable items. Meanwhile, the competitive benchmarks for technical and customer抯 needs were estimated. All the efforts above were integrated to form optimization boundaries, in which reliability and performance of the products were the highlight. Finally the best project of the design came into being. In order to improve reliability of the products of arc welder, author designed an efficient main circuit, in which IGBT was used as the main switching power component and amorphous core was used in the design of main transformer. The design of series product turns to easy for the application of unit power model. Aim at user抯 requirement of welding performance, author designed the inverter control circuit in which two functions were accomplished. One was used in stick arc welding, while anther one was used in CO2 arc welding. Through arc force control, the former can prevent high-cellulose electrode welding on all positions of steel pipes from abnormally interrupting. Based on waveforms current control, the latter can solve the problem of spatter and bead formation. Using PWM IC, computer and peak current control law, the control unit enjoys fast dynamic response and an easy interface circuit. Combined it with above main power unit, The new type arc welding inverter was emerged.
