At present, there are some instances in oilfield distribution networks, such as the improper selection of transformer capacity, the current density being overhigh, which overload the reactive power, reduce the power factor, increase the network loss, and decline the voltage quality, consequently the capacity of the networks can't be sufficiently exploited. Based on the situations above, this paper optimizes the system in reactive power compensation and network reconfiguration, on the basis of the power flow calculation, and studied the economic operation of transformer, which increase the utilization rate of equipments and power factor, and decrease the network loss, thus the situation of the networks is improved a lot.In this paper, an incidence matrix of nodes and lines matching the actual distribution networks is established, which is created automatically by computer. An iteration method is used to find the parameters of nodes and lines.Based on the power flow calculation, an optimization model of reactive power compensation is established, in which the maximum of annual pure efficiency is taken as objective function. By using the rule of optimal increment of the network loss, the compensative problem is transformed to the problem of linear system of equations, and the formula to solve coefficient of matrix is presented. Examples prove that the optimization method can increase the power factor and reduce the network loss.In this paper, we establish an optimization model of network reconfiguration with minimum network loss as objective function, the decline of voltage and electric current as constraint conditions. In view of the features of oilfield distribution networks, the improved genetic simulated annealing algorithm is used to solve the problem. Reconfiguration results show that the algorithm is efficient and credible.Through calculating the partial derivative to the power loss of the transformer, economical operating area of a single transformer is deduced. And the value of the critical load of a single transformer or double ones in parallel is presented, which is based on the principle of minimum power loss of transformer. An software of simulation and optimization of distribution networks is programed, which is used to simulate and optimize certain distribution system in La Ma Dian oilfield. Optimization results show that by using this software, network loss and maximum voltage of end is decreased, simultaneously, power factor is increased.
