As an important base of energy and heavy chemical industry in China, TaiYuan has been suffering a severe air pollution. Under the affection of leaders at all levels of TaiYuan Government , a catchword " cleaner production, decreasing pollution and increasing efficiency" was proposed, and a significant improvement in air pollution control has been achieved in recent years. All enterprises seriously polluted have drawn their "cleaner production plan".Based on four cleaner production projects(CDQ, EAF, CCPP, TRT)of TaiYuan Iron & Steel Corp., and according to classified standard of air pollutants, this paper inspected values of each pollutant and compared to standard concentration. The data of serious pollutant sources, pollutant index, and the data of interrelated decreasing pollution and increasing efficiency in cleaner production projects were investigated. Diffused pollutant concentration was calculated, then we got atmosphere environment integrated estimation and environmental co-benefits , feasible and rationalistic advice was given.Analyses of estimated result showed that: when cleaner production projects finished, the emission of 862 will reduce from 21033t/a to 4923t/a, the deduction amount of TSP will account for 5% of all emission amount in this enterprise, this will be useful to alleviate pollution in surrounding area, especially in heating period. Cleaner production projects can advance rate of energy use, decrease emission of pollutants and increase benefit. CCPP and TRT projects may be looked as CDM projects because their economicbenefit is considerable and the cost of emission of CO2 is negative, and then can positively get help from CDM funds.
