The stability and reliability of the wire feeder directly affect the welding quality in gas metal arc welding(GMAW),and that the main approach to enhance wire feeder's performance is via improving feeder's hardware and improving the feeder's control measures.Compared with the simulant control manner,the digital control manner can adopt much more agile control algorithms to control the feeder system. It has also more notable advantage than simulation in control precision,stability and consistency.This dissertation uses single chip microprocessor P89C51RD2 as controller,use full-bridge MOSFET to realize the feed motor's power-drive,adopt the negative feedback from rev to process the close-loop control for feeder motor,with the idea of medel-free-adaptive control(MFA) technology and the method to implement the real-time operating system software,we achieve the hardware and software design for the feed control system.We use signle chip microprocessor AT89C52 as controller of the digital operating panel,use digital contacting encoder to set up the value of rotating speed,voltage,current,etc.adopt RS-485 standard bus to achieve the information and data interchange among different control units,as to realize the real-time display of the feeder's rotation rate and the real-time transmission of various control commands.We integrate the hardware circuit and software system into a application system based on the CS-201 wire-feed motor made in Nanjing Zhongchuan equipment factory,by running and experiment validate,it has proved that the system has good reliability and stability in sped control and data communication,the various technical indexes achieve the designed demands.Along with the rising of research upsurge from digital welding power source,the digital control mode of the wire-feed motor will be gained abroad recognition,it will be also acquired broad application accompanying the digital welding power source.
