Stabilized chlorine dioxide is a new kind of disinfectant and it has a wide range of developing prospect. The products used now are mainly inorganic and they can not be used under certain conditions. The organic stabilized chlorine dioxide is explored in this paper and a novel chelate complex is used to prepare the stabilized chlorine dioxide. The method of preparing is studied and the optimizing conditions are obtained. The mechanism of the reaction is discussed and it is proved that some chemical change happen in the solution and chlorine dioxide is thought to be molecular. The properties of the product are determined and it is proved that it has no oxidation ability and can not be used directly as a disinfectant. And it is difficult to let chlorine dioxide out by adding acid or iron ion.
