In this thesis, the structure of special milling and drilling machine is analyzed in terms of the combined method of static and dynamic designs. CAD/CAE/MSS technology is applied to the simulation analysis and research of the machine tool, in order to optimize the structure of the machine tool and improve its dynamic performances.Pro/E, the 3-D modeling software, is used to establish the solid models of the machine tool. The models are exported to ADAMS to be simulated through the interface between Pro/E and ADAMS.By ADAMS, the multi-bodies dynamics software, dynamics simulation of the machine tool is carried out. In order to improve the accuracy of the system simulation, the machine-body crossbeam is flexed. Then, the constraints among parts of the models are defined, the contact forces between the carriage and the machine-body guide way are defined, load is imposed on the models, simulation time and steps are defined. Finally, simulation results are analyzed.ANSYS, the finite element analysis software, is applied to the static and modal analysis of the machine-body crossbeam. When the machine-body crossbeam is under static load, the cloud figures of the stress and deformation of the nodes, and deformation curves of the machine-body guide way are obtained, the maximal deformation zone of machine-body crossbeam is found. The dynamic performances of the machine-body crossbeam are analyzed in theory. Previous five steps nature frequency and the mode shape of vibration of the machine-body can be solved.By the static and dynamic analysis, it is verified that the structure design of the machine-body crossbeam meet the demands of design and that the designscheme of the machine tool is feasible. Based on this, the further research of the structure design of the machine-body crossbeam is going on, in order to apply more referenced schemes for the structure design of the same kind of machine-body crossbeam.
