Although it has had a lot of achievements in control technology of high-quality strip rolling in our country, because of lag of equipment technology, there is a relative gap with developed country. And there are many questions in practical appliance and theory. In China fewer examples are successful in roller eccentricity research domain. This paper's background is Cold-rolling Mill of 1270 technology reform of HengTong precision sheet metal company at Tangshan. Hydraulic automatic gauge control system was studied thorough and part of the technology reform were finished by author. Based on the practical module of Cold-rolling Mill of 1270, author made a research into eccentricity compensation which is in the preliminary stage in china.First, some important parameters of Cold-rolling Mill of 1270 were getted based on local true data. Making use of local true data of pressure and hydraulic cylinder position through least square method, the natural module factor was provided for automatic preferences in each time for example. Using local true measure data of rotate speed of roll, pressure and hydraulic cylinder position, the formula of oil film, rotate speed of roll and pressure were getted. Through the program of linear inserting data oil film compensation was realized to improve the quality of steel strip well.Second, the C program of serial communication between two Industrial control computers was made. Serial communication is the key of the whole system. So after deeply studying the theory of serial communication, the program was made and put into use in practice. Finally this paper analyzes the effect principle how roller eccentricity affect strip gauge. Two of basic types of roll eccentricity and their track were discussed and the characteristic, cause and measurement of roll eccentricity were included, then illustrated how roll eccentricity influence pressure and strip gauge. On the practical model of Cold-rolling Mill of 1270, this paper brings up eccentricity compensation control practice of Cold-rolling Mill of 1270mm which applies FFT method, and carefully researches some technical question of compensation arithmetic, simulate and testify its feasibility. The result of simulation provides academic reference for local experiment.
