The research of roll eccentricity is one of the hotspot problems in study of realm of strip rolling. In this realm, although it has had a lot of achievements in our country. With the increase request of strip quality, the roller eccentricity has become the important factor of influencing product quality. This paper's background is a sub subject of the national science and technology supporting planning-project called large-scale rolling mill generality technical research. The sub subject is called the development of machine-electricity-liquid simulink platform in course of cold rolling. Hydraulic automatic gauge control system was studied thorough and parts of the technological task were finished by author. Based on the practical module of Cold-rolling Mill of 300 in Yanshan University, author made a research into eccentricity compensation.Firstly, on the base of understanding and grasping the principle of gauge control system, the stretch compensation, eccentricity compensation, oil film compensation, feedforward compensation and feedback compensation are analyzed and this paper analyzes the effect principle how roller eccentricity affects strip gauge. The characteristic, cause and measurement of roll eccentricity were included, then illustrated how roll eccentricity influences pressure and strip gauge.Secondly, making use of local true data of pressure and hydraulic cylinder position through least square method, the mill rigidity of 300 is obtained and the eccentricity signal process is made.Finally, on the practical model of Cold-rolling Mill of 1270, this paper establishes eccentricity compensation control practice of Cold-rolling Mill of 300 which applies wavelet transform method, simulate and testify its feasibility. The result of simulation provides academic reference for local experiment.
