Melted-aluminium baking method, coke-ash baking method and graphite-powder baking method are three common ways to bake electrolyzer in our country. These ways are all belong to resistance-heated method at heart and have a great harm to life-span of electrolyzer because of uneven heating and some other causes. In this paper, shortcomings of traditional methods were analyzed at first, and then a new method, which was called fuel-direct-baking method, was presented, and its control system was put forward as well, in combination with research situation in this field home and abroad. The whole system has been applied in the NO.l Branch of Shanxi electrolytic aluminium factory , and good results have been obtained. The main research contents and results are shown as follows:(1) The general ways to bake electrolyzer, which include Melted-aluminium baking method, coke-ash baking method and graphite-powder baking method, are introduced. The effects on the life-span of electrolyzer are analyzed. Fuel-direct-baking method is put forward and its advantages are analyzed as well.(2) Fuel-direct-baking method's control system is introduced.(3) The hardware of fuel-direct-baking method's control system is presented. Author spells out PLC's hardware configuration, memory organization and PLC's working principle. Wiring terminal of frequency converter of fan-machine and oil pump are also introduced. In addition, the whole system's wiring chart is explained at the last part of this paper.(4) The algorithm of fuel-direct-baking method is introduced. Because of the limitation of traditional PID algorithm, fuzzy control algorithm is employed. The principle of fuzzy controller is introduced, and then the realization of fuzzy controller is explained.(5) The fulfillment of software of fuel-direct-baking method is introduced. The OMRON PLC's instruction system and the programs realized with this instruction system are expained as well.
